Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) announced that she secured the inclusion of over $7.8 million for eight community projects in Alabama’s 7th Congressional District in House Democrats’ FY2022 government funding bills. With the passage of these bills in the House of Representatives this week, funding for these community projects has cleared a key hurdle. The bills must now face negotiations in the Senate.

Terri Sewell (AL-07) voted to pass nine of House Democrats’ Fiscal Year 2022 spending bills to fund the federal government through 2022 and make historic investments in working families, infrastructure, health care, education, and our veterans. The bills also include funding for key issues important to Alabama’s 7th District.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Sewell voted in support of the continuing resolution legislation H.R. 8337, which provides for the continuation of funding for the programs contained in the 12 annual appropriation acts for FY2020. The bill passed the House in a final vote of 359-57-1.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - On Thursday, October 5, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) hosted the 2017 Veterans Resource Fair in Alabama's 7th Congressional District. The event provides assistance with issues unique to veterans including VA benefits, transportation resources, health screenings, housing options, mental health services, caregiver support, women’s services, career services, and more. Over 400 veterans, family members, and constituents attended the fair, along with over 25 resource groups and service officers who were onsite to help attendees.
On Thursday, October 5, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host the 2017 Veterans Resource Fair in Alabama's 7th Congressional District. The event aims to connect veterans with jobs and training, help at federal agencies, and provide veterans with the opportunity to engage with their local community.
