Marion, AL — Today, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) continued her annual Congress in Your Community Tour, hosting a Perry County Meet and Greet in Marion, Alabama. Rep. Sewell was joined by Nivory Gordon, Alabama State Director of Rural Development for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

“Today is all about meeting people where they are,” said Rep. Sewell. “It is an opportunity for me to hear directly from my constituents about the issues impacting their lives and to provide an update on my work in Washington.”

Director Gordon and USDA officials were on hand to provide resources and assistance regarding rural housing.

“Today is also an opportunity to bring federal resources to our doorstep and to ensure that my constituents know how to access the assistance available to them,” continued Sewell. “My commitment to the people of our district remains unwavering. I will continue fighting to bring more resources and better opportunities to our communities so that every Alabamian can achieve their God-given potential.”

Every year, Rep. Sewell visits each of the 14 counties in Alabama’s 7th Congressional District to connect with her constituents and learn more about the issues impacting their lives.
