BIRMINGHAM, AL – On Thursday, March 22^nd, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host a COPS Grants Workshop in Birmingham targeted at municipal and county level law enforcement to help them find federal funding for their community oriented policing strategies (COPS). The workshop will provide an opportunity for local leaders and law enforcement from around the 7^th Congressional District to learn more about COPS grants, specifically the COPS Hiring Program grant. During the workshop, attendees will hear from Department of Justice officials and past recipients of the COPS Hiring Program grant to help to prepare them for the FY2018 COPS grants application process.
