MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The hero's welcome at Carver Elementary School in Montgomery was out of this world for NASA astronaut Capt. Scott Tingle. Dozens of children surrounded Tingle and chanted 'USA, USA, USA!' Tingle also posed for photos and signed autographs.

"It was incredible. I am very humbled by it. I don't feel worthy," he said.

Scott Tingle has more than 4,000 flight hours under his belt and has flown 48 different types of aircraft along with 54 combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. NASA chose Tingle to become an astronaut six years ago.
