On Wednesday, March 28, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will continue her annual “Congress in Your Community” tour by hosting a town hall meeting in Uniontown at the Quinn Chapel AME Church, from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The town hall will provide an opportunity for residents of the 7th Congressional District to share their views and concerns and hear updates on the latest in Congress.

WHO: Rep. Sewell will host a Congress in Your Community Town Hall in Uniontown

BACKGROUND: Rep. Sewell hosts a “Congress in Your Community” town hall tour every year through the 14 counties she represents. These meetings serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue with constituents, allowing Rep. Sewell to connect with residents of the 7th Congressional District and address their concerns. Perry County will be the fifth stop on the “CIYC” town hall tour for Rep. Sewell in 2018.

Rep. Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) is serving her fourth term representing Alabama’s 7th Congressional district. She sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and was recently appointed to the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Sewell is a Chief Deputy Whip and serves on the prestigious Steering and Policy Committee of the Democratic Caucus. She is also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, and serves as Vice Chair of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus, and Vice Chair of Outreach for the New Democrat Coalition.
