BIMRMINGHAM, AL – On Tuesday September 25th Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host a military service academy interest meeting for students to meet with representatives from the United States Air Force, Coast Guard, Military, Naval and Merchant Marine Academies at the Birmingham Public Library. This meeting offers high school juniors and seniors and their parents an opportunity to learn detailed information about the process for entering any of the nation’s military service academies. Potential candidates will hear from Congresswoman Sewell and academy representatives about the nomination process.

“We are delighted to have so many bright young people who are willing to serve in our Nation’s Armed Forces,” said Rep. Sewell. “Our office remains committed to identifying and nominating the best candidates that Alabama’s 7th District has to offer to our Nation’s Service Academies.”
