Rep. Sewell on Testimony of Former CIA Director Brennan
Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Intelligence Committee held a public hearing featuring former CIA Director Brennan as part of the Committee’s Russia investigation. Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) is a member of the House Intelligence Committee and questioned Brennan on Russia’s disinformation campaign and the work of Russian officials to undermine American democratic institutions.
“In today’s hearing, former CIA Director Brennan was unequivocal in his statement that members of the Trump campaign had contact with Russian officials who undermined our elections and that this issue deserves a full investigation,” said Rep. Sewell. “As a Member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am committed to following the facts and getting to the truth. When we lose sight of the truth and the evidence provided by our intelligence community, our democracy and our national security are put at risk.”
