Statement from Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell After Joining University of Alabama Football Team for BCS Championship Celebration at the White House
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (AL-07) released the following statement after joining the University of Alabama football team at the White House to celebrate their 2011 BCS National Championship:
“Today I was delighted to join the Alabama Crimson Tide football team as we celebrated our 2011 BCS National Championship at the White House. For the second time in three years, the crystal trophy calls the 7th Congressional District of Alabama home. We are so proud of Coach Nick Saban, his coaching staff, and all of the players for their hard work and dedication that made this victory possible.
This championship represents a unifying victory for the State of Alabama and shows the resilient spirit of Alabamians after the tragedy of the April tornadoes.
We look forward to next season and the quest for another national title. Roll Tide!!”
