MONTGOMERY, AL –On Tuesday, October 14th, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host a Veterans Resource Fair at Fresh Anointing Church in Montgomery. The resource fair will open at 3 p.m. with a “Congressional Update” from Rep. Sewell on current federal initiatives regarding the VA. Immediately following the ‘Congressional Update,” veterans and their families will have the opportunity to speak with entities providing assistance with issues unique to veterans including VA benefits, transportation resources, health screenings, housing options, mental health services, caregiver support, women’s services, career services and so much more.

 

“As we seek solutions to the various challenges facing the VA, I am committed to ensuring that we never forget the brave men and women who have served our country,” Rep. Sewell said. “Meeting the needs of our veterans remains one of my top priorities as representative of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. I look forward to bring together vendors that will adequately address the various challenges facing our service men and women when they return home.”
