Washington, DC – Today, Democratic Steny Hoyer named Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell a 2014 Online All-Star. Over this three-week competition, Congresswoman Sewell acquired 2,172 new followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Of the 199 House Democrats competing in this year’s competition, Congresswoman Sewell finished in 21st place. 

“The use of social media has become one of the strongest conduits for my office to engage with more Alabamians and share with them our agenda to create jobs and promote economic opportunity for Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. I am pleased to have finished as a 2014 online all-star in Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer’s 2014 Online Competition,” said Rep. Sewell. “I have my constituents and followers to thank for the growth my social media outlets have enjoyed over the past three weeks of the competition.
