“The hard-working health care professionals at the Greene County Hospital and Nursing Home provide essential care to so many here in West Alabama” said Rep. Sewell. “I am thrilled to have secured $521,100 for this facility to ensure that they can continue that critical work. This funding will help upgrade the hospital’s generators so that patients are protected in the case of a power outage. This is all about making our community safer, stronger, and more prosperous.”
Friday morning, Rep. Sewell joined Reform Mayor Melody Davis, Gordo Mayor Craig Patterson, and community members at Reform Airport to bring greetings at the Gordo Rotary Club’s 25th Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony in Pickens County. Rep. Sewell’s staff were onsite to assist individuals with federal constituent service matters.
Following the Pickens County Veterans Day Celebration, Sewell was joined by Greene County Hospital and Nursing Home CEO Dr. Marcia Pugh, Hospital Board Members, and Eutaw Mayor Latasha Johnson to announce $521,100 that she secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 federal government funding package to improve the hospital’s infrastructure. The funding will be used to install new generators to protect patients in the event of a power outage.
Sewell then attended the Greene County Veterans Day Street Festival where celebrated Veterans Day with local elected officials and community members and provided an update on her work in Congress.
