The Office of Congresswoman Terri Sewell (AL-07) is currently accepting applications for our full-time summer 2023 Internship program. Ties to Alabama or the 7th Congressional District are preferred. This is currently a hybrid in-person/remote position that is subject to change based on CDC guidelines. Proof of vaccination status is required as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation.

Applications for the summer 2023 cycle will close on March 31, 2023, at 5:00pm CT/ 6:00pm ET.

  • Writing Sample 1 - Provide a 500-word memo on one of the following topics:

    • Wastewater Management

    • Rural Broadband Access

    • Black Maternal Mortality

    • Impact of Diabetes in Rural Communities

    • Access to Rural Hospitals and Medical Facilities

  • Writing Sample 2 - Include a recent writing sample that you are proud of. This sample can be an assignment that was submitted for coursework. It should demonstrate your most current writing style.

NOTE: Your application will not be considered complete until you have uploaded your resume and writing samples.
