Montgomery, AL Today, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) announces the 2021 Congressional Art Competition is now open to high school students from both public and private schools throughout the 7th Congressional District, as well as home-schooled high school students. The winner will receive free round-trip airfare for two to Washington, D.C., to attend an official reception honoring the winners from all the Congressional districts around the country.  In addition, their artwork will be showcased in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Imagine Alabama – Dreaming the Unthinkable”

To enter the contest, students must fill out and submit a Student Information & Release Form with their artwork by Monday, April 26, 2021. All high school students from the 7th Congressional District are encouraged to submit their unframed artwork to: 101 South Lawrence Street, Montgomery County Courthouse, Annex 3, Montgomery, AL  36104.
