SELMA, AL – On Thursday, June 14, 2018, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host the 5th Annual Federal Grants Workshop “Grant Writing 101” in Selma. The Workshop will offer participants a breakdown of the grant writing process, as well as inform them about the various resources that are available to them in the grant writing process. The workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

This workshop will focus on best practices in grant writing, research strategies and local grant writing resources. Speakers will include professional grant writers and grant evaluators from various government agencies, municipalities, and nonprofits. The featured speakers will provide information on grant eligibility, best practices, and strategies, information to maintain a grant, as well as resources available.
