Washington, D.C. — This morning, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) was officially sworn in for her seventh term as United States Representative for Alabama’s 7th Congressional District. The official swearing-in of the 118th Congress was delayed by over four days following the new Republican majority’s inability to elect a Speaker.
“After four days of chaos, crisis, and confusion under the new House Republican Majority, I’m proud to be officially sworn in as Representative for Alabama’s 7th Congressional District in the 118th Congress and ready to get to work!” said Rep. Sewell. “House Democrats are united behind an agenda that will put people over politics and build on our historic progress. I thank the people of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District for the honor of representing them and will continue fighting for lower prices, safer communities, and better opportunities for Alabamians and Americans everywhere.”
